Rouxster Throws People
Hey dudes.

It's about time I made a good replay thread for myself. I tend to do real moves, especially judo throws.
I'm gonna be posting mostly aikido replays, but I could throw in a spar sometime. Feel free to tell me what you think.
---
I'll start this off with 4 good replays.

Got some sweet replays today.

Throw6: I don't know what this was but it was cool af. I kicked his leg off the ground and threw the shit out of him.
Amazeballs counter- Holy fuck this was sexy. I perfectly countered his momentum with a hip throw.
Hip throw13- Just a really solid hip throw.

Hip throw11- He gave me an opening, so I slid my hips in and hit a pretty hip throw.
Hip throw7- Perfectly timed. Dm'ed his elbow in the process.
Harai goshi- I had really good footwork and entry on this. Messed up on the finish a bit, but it turned out alright.

keep it up man that some good shit you are doing there srsly i like it a lot
but if you can try to play with some pro aikido players
i think that well be a good challenge for you in this level of skills <3
You're hip throw game is tight, tighttttttttt. Like ronda rousey tight. But like her you should start to sharpen your other tools. See if you can work foot-sweeps into your game. Hip throws and foot-sweeps are like two sides of the same coin. I'm not talking from experience but i recognize the pattern and i have been putting some time into it myself.

Load up abd and the opener bot, see if you can come up with something useful.

Here's two of my own. The 2nd one is especially fantastical.

I think the most important thing when it comes to hip throws is opposite pulling. Pulling the guy on the opposite direction you plan to throw them, and when they react you use that reaction to behoove your throw. This may only work with experienced players, because you can foresee a noob just falling over in the first direction your push him.

Here's some of my opposite pulling stuff.

By opposite pulling, I assume you meant feinting. I've experimented with it before, but I find my other setups to be more effective. Some day I'll get around to writing a tutorial for them.
I'll update this thread with new replays soon.

That was a lie, but now I'm finally back with more replays.

hip throw18: I thought this was a pretty smooth throw.
hip throw19: Aquita gave me a lot of momentum, so I pivoted on my front foot and hit a clean hip throw.
throw10: Popped him up with my hips, then slammed him down with an arm swap.
slicknasty: Aquita this one is for you. I hit a footsweep, which got him in the air, then I hit a nice hip throw. It's a shame he saved it, but the move still looked nice.
