I want to make my own set!

Unfortunately I've just stopped at layers. Does anyone know how can I move a layer separately instead of moving all the image?

Let's take it that I've drawn some shapes each in different layers and I want those shapes to move closer or further to each other using move tool, not cut and place in other place.

Can any1 help me plz!
