Yup, requested by the user most probably so they cannot access their acc and lose concentration in studying or whatnot. They simply post in the ban appeals to get their acc back whenever.

The people I banned PM'd me and asked to be banned for a specific amount of time - that's why their ban reason says requested, so if they request to be unbanned or people look at their history everyone knows they didn't do anything wrong.
