Whenever I try to play it looks kinda boreing. so I think, turn on teh shaders. I check the shaders box, and then click ok or whatever. but it doesnt look any different. I check the setup again and it is clicked off. why?

Shaders are hardware dependant. If your graphics hardware can't do them the option turns itself off.
