I recommend just messing around with the single player and making some awesome replays and learning the basic mechanics before moving on to the multiplayer function!

If your new i guess you just go on a spar server and type /spec and watch sparrers move joints so you understand what each joints do

Don't do that, thats a bad idea.

Just play in the beginner room and/or the rooms that suit you the best.
Single player is good for figuring out what each joint does.
