This was partly a test of the new blender feature, sketch-a-ton, allowing you to easily rig a character by drawing along a certain piece of it, and it will detect the volume perfectly and you won't have to adjust the location later at all, because it stays on whatever you are rigging, i.e. a tentacle.
Oh noes, its a heacrab-facehugger-brain-thingy.
