I've never played this game .. can you give me a link?

basically there will be a Dungeon master (DM) he makes a dungeon for the other players to play in and you can do anything you want at all(within what your stats say you can do). The DM will then roll for you (20 sided die) and tell you what is going to happen depending on what i roll for you. The DM also rolls for other creatures. <----simplified for forum purposes

why not just play a weekly poker game?

because poker is reading bluffs and is boring.
D&D is luck of the dice and funny.

D&D is roleplay! ;o If you liked crpg games, you'll like dnd.
