If you can find crabroe/crabfat... dang.
Heat a pan with a small amount of oil, and sauteé half an onion, diced finely and a small strip of ginger. If you like the heat, toast a few small chilies (whole)
When translucent, add a dollop of crab roe paste (or half a jar....) heat it up until bubbly, then add a few drops of lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste.
What to do with it? Well...
Serve over crispy fried fish or steamed crab.
Serve over steamed/fried rice.
Toss with pasta (linguine comes to mind....)
Spread over toast with eggs.
Hell, it makes killer salad dressing.
