You can't change where replays are saved by default.
I'd recommend you putting your existing replays in the "my replays" folder if you want one place for them to exist now. You can always make new folders and sub folders if you want to organize them later. For the initial save though, it will go to the "my replays" folder. You'll have to organize where you want them to go after they're in there.
i want them to exist in the normal folder that they've existed in for over 10 years so i can edit them without having to go into the files or into the replay section because those are both obnoxious to do. too bad previous versions of toribash do not allow me to connect to the servers or are extremely buggy
i guess it's the staple tactic of toribash developers to do some retarded shit for no reason without a workaround because they are retards, thank u for your time though
Python script to automatically move files from /replay/my replays to /replay
import os
from time import sleep
def check_folder(folder):
"""Get a list of the files in a specified folder."""
try:
files = os.listdir(folder)
except FileNotFoundError:
print("Folder not found--make sure you typed it correctly.")
return None
else:
return files if len(files) > 0 else None
def move_files(src_folder, dst_folder):
"""Move all files from one folder to another."""
for file in os.listdir(src_folder):
os.rename(src_folder + file, dst_folder + file)
if __name__ == '__main__':
while 1:
# change to your "my replays" folder
my_replays = "C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Toribash/replay/my replays"
# ensure correct format
my_replays = my_replays.replace("\\", "/")
if not my_replays.endswith("/"):
my_replays += "/"
# check folder
files_in_src = check_folder(my_replays)
# if there are files, move them
if files_in_src is not None:
base_dir = "/".join(my_replays.split("/")[0:-2]) + "/"
move_files(my_replays, base_dir)
sleep(30) # can be raised/lowered (lower number = more cpu-intensive)
Set it to run when you start your computer and it won't be an issue anymore
