nah... just mine (and 3 dimensional vectors arent covered untill grade 12 but thats a different story)
and remember when you said there were 2 cars that moves 20 m/s right
one moved 20 m/s on the x axis
the other move 20m/s on the x and y axis
i may be wrong but didnt you say the one moving the 20 on x and y was moving faster... in theory they'd be moving the same speed wouldnt they?

nope.

speed is exactly what you know it to be.

velocity is speed, with a direction.

a speed is 3m/s
a velocity is 3m/s on the x axis

i see now but my example is still valid due to the fact the root of 20 squared is still 20
