S&I rules [read before posting]
Don't post if you have nothing to say. If your post simply says that you agree with someone or want this to be implemented, don't post at all.
If your post has positive or negative feedback about the suggestion, or adds to the suggestion itself, it's considered useful.
Suggestions aren't "voted" on. "Votes" won't help your suggestion to be implemented. Therefore, posts like "supported" or "unsupported" are considered useless.
You're allowed to bump your thread after 2 weeks. If we determine that your thread won't go anywhere, we will mark it as such. If a thread is marked [Will Not Be Implemented], please do not bump it unless you have a suggestion to resolve whatever issue was preventing it from being implementable.
When posting an item suggestion, make sure your thread includes a comprehensive description and reference picture of what you're wanting. We can't create what you're wanting if you don't explain to us what it is.
When posting a color suggestion, it's preferred you reference a HEX color code. Please don't request for colors incredibly similar to other colors that are already implemented into the game.
Suggestions & Ideas are for game-related suggestions. Suggestions related to server mods (public rooms, tourneys, quick servers etc) should be posted here.
If you, for example, want more aikido in public servers, you should post it in the above thread, and not in this board.
This subject had been thrown around for a very long time, and will not happen. The current toribash engine will not allow it and there are no plans on changing the engine, ever. As such, these sort of posts will be closed.
Backseat moderation covers doing the moderators job. For example, calling out someone for breaking a rule. Instead of doing this, use the report botton on the post and it will be taken care of.
Please check this thread before you post a suggestion. Most things you think are novel have been thought of many times before. If you see multiple threads with the same topic, don't make a post about it, instead, pm a moderator.
To search the toriforum without Forum VIP, type "" (your idea here) into google.

Thread is to be kept closed. Questions and complaints should be PM'd to a board moderator. And please do ask them in PM instead of posting them in a thread. We don't bite

Short version: For all intents and purposes, this will never be a feature that makes it into Toribash as we know it.

Long version: It has been tried and tested (some of you may see screenshots and the like of that time) and playtesting ruled that 2v2 was a) not very fun and b) made physics wonky, namely things were a lot slower than they were supposed to be. It would currently be a lot easier to create a new engine that supports 32 vs. 32 players than to force 2 vs. 2 into an engine that's ~10 years old and the product of a one man development team. It's not feasible. To reiterate: this has nothing to do with hardware, more the limitations of the game engine itself.

And so we're done. Any other suggestions that are of the nature of increasing player count should be closed & shown this post because unless we start working on Toribash 2 (full disclosure: we're not) you wont be seeing an engine overhaul any time in the near future. As long as I'm around and doing this sort of thing I'll be the first to let you know, though.

As of a recent decision, 2v2 posts, and anything similar, are now against the rules.
