I watch the news over dinner most nights. Or else I check the headlines when I'm online.
Sometimes I also hear stories and new from friends and stuff. Not that many people that I know actually follow the news which I think is a bit poor. It's important to know what's going on.

I only hear news via Facebook and talking with other people in the real life.
I think newspapers are boring and I use TV only for watch Dragon Ball.
