That isn't a glitch or a hack.
He just opened two Toribashs and went into the same room. Maybe he was fighting himself to get easy QI.

Please note that you may open two Toribash clients to play in 2 servers but you cannot open two Toribash clients into 1 server. This is called farming. Please contact an smod/admin with the proof and they will handle it.

As far as I know, you do not earn tc or Qi from beating yourself.

True, although you can play with others multiple times, without waiting in the queue. <-Bad
