I've got an AMD FX-8350 (8 core 4GHz) and I love it. Only complaint is that it gets hot quickly as all AMD's do. But I have a big tower that helps it keep cool. Biggest thing is to buy some sort of cooling system if you get an amd, and amd is better for a budget build as they generally get a bigger bang for your buck.
