Well i purchased a flame particle texture and now I uploaded an image. how do I get it to show up?

Buy/Forge a flame. Try the flame browser (Ctrl+J) if you want to see how it looks like.

To build off of what MariaVirgine was saying, you need to own an actual flame first and the flame particle texture will change what the individual particles will look like.
The description of the item also says this

"Flame Particle Texture.
This item allows you to change the shape of your flame using a texture
REQUIRES AN EXISTING FLAME/FORGED FLAME TO USE
This item does not give a flame"
