The Gary Tonan guy got the takedown because his opponent tried and failed at a throw. He took a terrible shot and then just ran into the guy with his arms wide out, he's lucky the guy wasn't a good thrower. It looks cool but it's really not as impressive as it seems.

Roux where idk where you grapple but there was no throw setup there. Tonon is known for his flashy entry's and this was a perfect setup with misdirection. I would call it a bait and switch tactic where he slides out to get his opponent to circle and then blasts head on. You see his gripping hand comes down to tap the knee and his posted hand comes up to push his shoulder. The cartwheel is to evade the guillotine choke.

Blasting in head on like that with your arms up is how you get lat dropped on the wrestling mat. And that "slide out" technique just looks like a good way to get caught in a front headlock.

Trust me this guy knows his shit. Saying what could have happened is very different from being on the mat with this guy.

Check out this gif:

The guy in red tried a similar knee pick to the Garry guy.

I'm sure Garry is one of the top grapplers in the world, but that move was whack.

Well i guess thats the result of two different styles.

Wrestling counter to a shot -> sprawl and pummel underhook
Jiu Jitsu counter -> scoop the head for a guillotine and sit on it.

The "Uke" went for the head instead of the underhook. No underhook=no latdrop.

Had he tried the lat drop i would expect tonon to still land on top bc he was already cartwheeling.

Replays are looking good, man. That finish on the 1st replay was sliick.
The second replay is not osoto gari. You did that weird harai goshi where you put your leg in between the opponent's split legs. We should come up with a name for that move because I've seen it done several times before.
The third replay was an interesting move. That DM screwed him.

The second one is ashi guruma no?

Good save on the first one when he dragged you down.

The last one is a ko-uchi gari
