why irc doesn't work?

I think it's down from Dos attacks. Not 100% sure.

Sounds like a botnet to take down a irc server.

Not true, the server works fine. The only thing broken is the site irc, get a client.

Most commonly used client would be mIRC.

Download leafChat, it works ok, just letters r too small but you can still read.

To join Toribash, you make new connection to irc.toribash.com
and then you join #support and other rooms.

If you like IRC from browser, you can uninstall leafchat when they fix browser
