Once upon a time a pigeon was stung by a bee, and as typical the pigeon swelled due to the toxic poison, and kept swelling until it exploded in a blast of blood, guts, and honey. A passing pigeon grabbed out his camera and posted an article in the local Pigeon Press Newspaper warning fellow pigeons of the danger of beeing stung.

A rebel group of pigeons organized a militia to launch a counter terrorism war against the bees. (Many people suspected that it was only to drain the bees of their natural resources. but that's a different story.) The battle was horrific. Dead bees covered the bloody, gutty, honey-ee field. Both sides have lost.

The pigeons that had not gone to war surveyed the field for survivors. They only found one.This pigeon soldier suffered from a broken beak, neck, back, wings, and legs and a concussion but managed to survive to the pigeon colony's surprise he managed not to get stung. Or so they thought. It took months for the pigeon soldier to recover. Eventually his bones healed and he woke from his slumber.

The soldier pigeon wasn't the same as before. Something was off about him. He exhibited antisocial behaviors such as buzzing when pigeons were talking to him, eating massive amounts of honey instead of alka seltzer and rice like the rest of the pigeons, and strangest of all was his uncanny ability in geometry class. He produced a complicated mathematical equation showing how pigeons could develop and live in hives.

As time progressed his symptoms worsened. The transition in his attitude lead to physical changes. He grew antennas and had traded the dead-stare eyes he had for more insect-like octagonal eyes. A stinger also made itself present. The pigeon colony felt uncomfortable letting such a pigeon walk among the common folk so the sent the soldier pigeon to a local hospital where he could be examined by dozens of professionals to see if anything could be done to reverse his condition.

After weeks of analyzing and running tests the doctors found a startling result. The soldier pigeon's DNA was infused with honey. He had become part bee. The pigeon colony was outraged. They exiled the soldier the next day. Since he could no longer find solace among his old colony the soldier pigeon thought that he would try to live with the bees, since he was after all part bee. The bees rejected.

So with no where to turn he began to reminisce. He then remembered about his extraordinary geometrical gift and remade the math formula he made back at the pigeon colony. He built himself a new home; a hive for pigeon-bee's. Eventually he gained the ability to reproduce without a partner and gave live birth to other pigeon-bee's and together the pigeon-bee's flourished giving way to the PigeonHive Clan.
