I use a crappy Gateway Laptop and GIMP, myself.
1. It's properly administered beveling. Plus I told you it was around a year ago.
...and it's a little insulting for you to 'summarize' people's work like that. >_>
2. I draw well, and I have lots of sketches of great Toribash texture sets I could easily do if I had a tablet.

Whipped up an image for the heck of it:
Started out with a plain ol' screenie of my self-acclaimed 'Signature-pose', then it got so out of hand with a clouds layer that it went totally Asian on me. (I'm Asian, FYI. But I don't speak Asian :P I don't even know what those two characters mean.)
