[REL] Realistic Toriboxing: (sort of) UPDATED 19-3-2010!
Realistic Toriboxing

After 3 months of work, me(Smilies2) and Skazz have achieved a certain amount of realism in this boxing mod.

Features

- Boxing Ring Environment with ropes that you can bounce from

- Realistic Gravity

- Proper Turnframes and DQ timeout

- Joints modified for a more authentic boxing feel and easier walking

7/13/08 Beta Build 0.47 (MP Version) released

7/18/08 Build 0.49b released: Forward thrust removed and floating uke problem solved.
Experimental version added with modified joints. The range on the shoulders is off, so expect it to feel awkward. Still, we want some feedback on the underlying concept.

7/18/08Released first training mod from the Realistic Toriboxing Training Mod Pack series

7/22/08 Build 0.5 Released!!!!!!!!!!! Epic changes to reduce MP lag and increase balance. Also 10x easier walking and some other changes/surprises.

FAQ

Why do Uke and Tori lean into eachother?

Forward thrust was added to reduce recoil from strong punches and make walking easier

Why do I fall over sideways sometimes?

Downward thrusts and Gravity cause you to fall over sometimes if you don't have a good stance. One solution is to extend both glutes to regain balance but we are working to prevent this problem (might be fixed in later releases)

Is this version ready for MP?

Not quite, it's more of a test version for SP but an MP version will be released very soon

Boxer - Being the default bodytype with normal stats, this is the easiest bodytype for the beginner boxer.

Special Punches: Hooks and Uppercuts

Slugger - Bulky body with extreme power, this is the bodytype to use for taking out competition with minimal chance of fractures.

Fighter - Light body with extreme speed, Use this bodytype when you are the pro boxer who knows how to dodge while maintaining balance.

Funny replays, although you guys seem to be messing with the mod rather than actually boxing (you never know when a comp might come up). Here's some replays that I made to get everyone in the boxing mood

Combo1 - A 5 punch combo ending with a stance

Uppercuthook - A powerful uppercut/hook to the left pec and head

Feignpunch - A feign of a right hook into a powerful left hook ending with stance



I might post a replay of me walking tomorrow (it's quite simple)

I suggest you add a floor, and raise everything off the ground, so instead of fighting on the real ground, you fight on this environment floor. Why is this better? Well tie that with an extremely small dojo and you can have "ring outs" where you manage to smash an opponent out of the ring, for disqualification!

You could just set a dojo the same size as the ring. That would be easier than re-doing the mod.
