Slightly offtopic here, but who's heard a transformer explode before? One near our place blew up one morning and I honestly thought it was a god damn bomb. It was about 200m away and it sounded like it was right next to me. I've never heard anything that loud. :/

Unless you live in a low-elevated area, you should probably unplug some stuff. I've only seen like 100-foot tall trees get struck where I live, and even that is ultra-rare, even with storms almost daily in the summer :|

That sucks.
