This is really wrong. Most half competent viruses get around windows defender and all preinstalled anti virus programs. For free ones I use AVG and Malwarebytes Anti-malware, don't just stick with the built in ones.

i use comodo antivirus and firewall together with spybot,will
occasionally run malwarebytes for a scan and lastly
mvps hosts witch blocks most ads in browser pages.
