Well, personally they found a planet 200,000 lightyears away, calling it Earths Bigger brother, and they suspect they have life.
But the ufos spotted around the world, are pretty much air crafts by the Army.
As far as other living species there are living things around the space.

A ROCKY planet virtually identical in size to the Earth has been discovered orbiting a distant Sun-like star.
It is the first time such an Earth twin in another solar system has been detected.
Although the planet, Kepler-20f, could have a thick water-vapour atmosphere, its surface is believed to be too hot for life.
A second planet in the same system, Kepler-20e, is only slightly smaller than Earth and even hotter.
Both worlds circle their parent star closely with year-long orbital periods of just 19 and six days respectively.
Neither lie within the “habitable zone” where temperatures are just warm enough to allow liquid surface water, increasing the prospects for life.
But scientists are excited by the technical achievement of detecting Earth sized “exoplanets” since it increases the chances of one day finding a potential life-bearing world.
The parent star, Kepler-20, is not exactly a close neighbour, being 945 light years away.
Dr Francois Fressin, one of the astronomers from the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics in Cambridge, US, said: “It is the first time humanity has been able to discover an object similar to the Earth around a star, so maybe we will be able to find others.
“This could be an important milestone. I think ten years or maybe even 100 years from now people will look back and ask when was the first Earth-sized planet found. It is very exciting.”
A number of extrasolar planets have already been identified with radiuses of 1.5 to twice that of the Earth.
But Dr Fressin pointed out that even these have far more volume than the Earth and it would be wrong to consider them truly “Earth-like”.
Earlier this month the reported discovery of Kepler-22b, a planet 2.4 times the size of the Earth situated in the middle of its habitable zone, led to wild speculation about oceans, continents and living creatures.
Dr Fressin said: “You could fit 13 Earths inside Kepler-22b. The most likely thing is that it’s simply a mini-Neptune, not suitable for life. Just because a planet lies within the habitable zone that doesn’t mean it is habitable.”
Like Kepler-22b, the two new planets were found by the American space agency NASA’s Kepler space telescope.
Astronomers detected them by observing the tiny dimming of light that occurred when they passed in front of their parent star.
The findings are reported today in an early online edition of the journal Nature.
Both planets are part of a solar system family already known to contain three larger worlds.
Kepler-20f has a radius just 1.03 times that of Earth’s, while Kepler-20e is 0.87 the size of the Earth.
The astronomers spent years making sure the signals they detected really were from planets.
Dr Fressin added: “We simulated all possible alternative configurations and tried to quantify the probability that a false signal could occur.
“We confirmed that the signals were coming from an Earth-size planet. It couldn’t be due to anything else.”
Both planets are believed to be rocky, with a composition of iron and silicate, and very hot.
Kepler-20f is a baking 426C and Kepler-20e a scorching 726C.

Astronomers have found a new planet that is identical to Earth – and it’s close by, between the Moon and Mars. This discovery has stunned the world of astronomy and astrophysics. “We all missed it. It was always there, right in front of our eyes,” say NASA astronomer Vijay Bannerjee.
“We can’t believe we’ve never seen the planet before,” said astronomer J, P. Thompson o the Carnegie Institute in Washington. “It’s right there, next to Mars. And it’s just like us. It can sustain life. We have a new Earth!”
Astronomers at the California Institute of Technology’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory simply had this to say: “D’oh!”
The new planet looks identical to Earth. “it’s like we are looking at Earth, from Earth,” said Thompson. “It’s an exact duplicate. I wonder if there’s a guy on Goldilocks that looks like me that is looking through a telescope at me and thinking the same thing. Wild, man, wild!”
Astronomers named the new planet, “Goldilocks” because in the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, Goldilocks fell asleep in the bear’s house, and astronomers have fallen asleep for centuries – completetly missing the obvious.
“I could have told them there was another planet. I could see it from my porch on the lake. It’s right there, between the Moon and Mars. Looks just like us,” said Hank Pauley of Auckland, New Zealand.
The Goldilocks planet, which is only about 2 million miles from Earth, is “not too cold and not too hot, ” said Bannerjee. “It definitely contains liquid water and it has a proper surface, gravity and atmosphere.

Finding Goldilocks has put an end to the age-old question: Are we alone? The answer: No, we are not alone, and we can’t believe it’s taken us so long to figure it out. “Maybe all the telescopes were defective,” said Bannerjee.
“This is the first one I’m truly excited about,” said Penn State University’s Art Waring. He said this planet is a “prime candidate” for harboring life. “I’m already packing my bags. I can’t wait to buy some property along the “California coast” on the new planet.”
Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic is already planning one-way trips to Goldilocks. “Once you get there, there’ll be no reason to leave, ” said Branson.
“Man, I hope there’s some hot chicks on that planet,” said Taylor Cooper, an astronaut on the last Discovery mission. “After determining that there’s life on a planet, that’s always the second question.” Juliana Rigaux, another astronaut added, “there better be some studs on that planet, too.”
Astronauts have come under fire for not noticing the Earth-like planet when they were in outer-space. But Buzz Aldrin had this to say though, “I told Neil, I thought I saw a second Earth and he told me to stop dipping into the Scotch. But I was right. Dammit, I was right!”
Buzz plans to visit Goldilocks as soon as he can.
Conspiracy theorists are saying that it’s all a hoax. “There are no planets. We live in a void, a black hole,” said Martin Q. “This is all a government conspiracy to give us hope. There is no hope.”
Tell that to Goldilocks.
New Evidence for Life on Mars

The dark spots and streaks in these ice dunes on Mars' South Pole may have been caused by organisms living under the surface.
BUDAPEST -- Hungarian scientists claimed on Friday to have found evidence of living organisms on Mars after analyzing 60,000 photographs taken by the Mars Global Surveyor probe.
The three-man team said the pictures showed evidence of thousands of dark dune spots, similar to organisms found near Earth's South Pole, in craters in Mars' snowy southern polar region.
"These spots indicate that on the surface below the ice there are such organisms which, absorbing solar energy, are able to melt the ice and create conditions of life for themselves," biologist and team member Tibor Ganti told Reuters.
During harsh Martian winters, when temperatures plummet to minus-328 Fahrenheit, these so-called Mars Surface Organisms are protected by a thick blanket of ice which then melts as the planet's early summer temperatures climb to just above zero.
Large gray dark dune spots -- with a diameter ranging from 30 feet to several hundred yards -- are left behind.
These, the Hungarians claim, are dried-out organisms which can reactivate themselves once the colder, icy season sets in again.
"The same mechanisms can be found on Earth in ice covering lakes at the South Pole. The question is whether harsh Martian conditions allow this mechanism to work there as well," Ganti said.
Agustin Chicarro, one of the leaders of the European Space Agency's Mars Express program, which plans to launch a Mars probe in 2003, recently visited Hungary to follow up on the team's findings.
"We make proposals (to the ESA) on where and what sort of measurements should be made and when, how and what should be photographed," Ganti said, adding that no final ESA decision had been taken yet on Hungarian participation in the next probe.
Ganti said that if the Hungarian team, also involving biologist Eors Szathmary and astronomer Andras Horvath, was right, this could be the first real proof of life on Mars.
"This would be life. These would be living organisms and this would be the first find of living organisms on another planet," he said.
We had to do this one day in science class
Scientist even said "There may be a living creature out there on one of these many planets in space. But with our technology increasing, one day in the far future of our generations we shall found out. we done discovered tons of planets that could host life, but we have no way to really find out."
About UFOs, most of them are just mistaken Army Aircrafts from the night, and some are just unexplainable, like one seen coming out of the water and shot off into space within 5.4 seconds.(Faster then the space ships)
