start learning hiragana and katakana, then you can move to kanji and making sentences.
grab a notebook or something and try to atleast fill each page with 1 symbol(try writing it 50-100 times atleast). you should be able to read and write them fluently in few days.
also spell the symbol everytime you write it.
using all of your memorizing tools will make the process much faster.
