They cant really give you a ranked season without showing off the endseason prizes at launch, that would be stupid.
There's currently lack of workforce in the 3d department to my understanding.
If you know 3d modeling and wanna join the item forgers you can send an application to any ES member, including the forgers and artists.

There might be other things stoping the 6th season, but im only aware for workforce issues.
