Um guys how do you render in xVid??

you cannot "render" in XVid straight from POV-ray.

You need to encode it to XVid in something like virtualdub, where you are giving a list of encoders you can use.

Okat slain, but which codec do you use for VirtualDub??

I use DivX myself. but the only difference between DivX and XviD is where it says DivX in the start of the file :o

erm.. how do i use this from the command line?
i've put it into usr/local/share/povray-3.6/include/..
and it just renders glossy when i type in
povray screenshot-16-22-59-02.pov +FN -W800 -H600 +Q9 +A0.2 +UV +UL +clay.inc
