building computer bios/first run help (PLEASE)
hi guys i need help.
how do i get my brand new constructed gaming computer up and running?
do i just put in windows 7 disc?

go bios, set primary drive = your cd-rom name from list
insert win7 and thats it. gg

to get into bios press del repedeatly when pc is booting.
k im stuck on primary drive, i go there and theres only one option... no usb (which im using)

okay im doing it usb, i select it as boot device... still doesnt work. i mounted the iso onto the flashdrive directly

it says reboot or select proper boot device

theres also 2 options for the usb
theres one with uehf and one without

you are doing something wrong.

whats your motherboard model?

EDIT: are you sure your dvd-rom is connected with SATA cable aswell as power cable to the motherboard?
.iso isn't going to boot like that especially via USB unless it's a USB optical drive. :|

You'll have to make a bootable USB stick for installing Windows, Google it.

Or better than that, just use a CD/DVD drive for it to make life easier.

You mentioned a Windows 7 disc in the OP... you should be able to boot from the CD if no operating system is detected on the HDD.

what's the problem exactly? use HDD as Boot option #1

if doesn't work just install windows on hdd by booting from usb flash drive
