I don't know if i can answer questions here, but it seems like the place to post.

To close a thread Has to be a thread that you created, Look at the top and click "Thread Tools" and then look under "Moderation Tools" ad it should say "Close Thread", Or if you wanna re-open it will say "Open Thread".
