As a kid, I used to listen Scatman John so much that I was never rid of it.
But I don't remember how I stopped to listen to it.
Just a few days ago, I downloaded this came galled osu!... I went the tutorial and downloaded a few beatmap packs... And in one of them, there was Scatman John's Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)... I played it (and of course failed; it's in Insane difficulty!!) and immediately went on Youtube to listen to it.
I looked at the comments, and just noticed that John Paul Larkin died in 12.3.1999.
I shat bricks. A lot.

So, Scatman John was and still is known as the combiner of scat and house music. He was a recipient of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Annie Glenn Award for outstanding service to the stuttering community and was inducted into the United States National Stuttering Association Hall of Fame.
