Macs are not the choice for gaming, there are no two ways about that. I wholeheartedly recommend building your own PC, it's much easier than you think, it's a learning experience, and it is much cheaper. If it sounds like living hell to you, I would probably stay away; however if it seems interesting you have nothing to lose.

Get a netbook at best buy for 350$, but don't expect to play good games on it.

Just build a computer, alot cheaper and maybe more powerful depending on where you get the parts from.

I personally suggest The Acer Aspire 5738DG-6165 For a Laptop

But as far as Desktops go I would say that the Gateway SX2840-01 Is Perfect

Buy your own computer parts and assemble them. It'll be better and cheaper too.
