Hello there! This little event is made to test your knowledge of technical side of toribash and PC in general, and maybe to make you learn something new in the process.
Each week we are going to post a new technical riddle for you to solve. It can be anything as long as it's related to the game and/or forum. Your goal is tposolve the mystery, sometimes explain why this certain thing doesn't work or works differently than expected. For doing that you will get a small prize depending on how hard the riddle was. You're allowed to ask questions and get answers, but answers will come from a point of person who doesn't know what the problem is. If the riddle doesnt get solved within a week, it goes into unrevealed riddle archive. You can still solve those later for a slightly lower prize.

This user is unable to display his own tori customizations. Other users can't see his custom either. Why?
Solution
LPT8 is a restricted folder name in Windows so Toribash can't create his custom folder.

This problem happened with my clanmate and a friend fudgiebalz. He's a pretty good replaymaker and an ORMO member.
For some reason he can't use the in-game torishop. It only shows gladiator, orc and chronos and nothing else for colors.
Solution
While logging in having ORMO[Parrot]fudgiebalz will cause the torishop to make it so you cannot buy higher qi items. Simply having fudgiebalz should fix it.

To get this riddle right you need to first find the Key. The Key is a five digit number that is not very helpful by itself, but you'll need it to find the answer to the riddle.
First digit clue: No DQ No Frac.
Second digit clue: Damping.
Third digit clue: Static.
Fourth digit clue: Legendary Clans.
Fifth digit clue: Total/Dynamic.
All clues are related to Toribash. Once you get the key you'll need to figure out how to use it.
Solution
First clue: The in-game flag for No DQ and No Fraq is 2
Second clue: Damping is the 3rd value in the flame forger tool, also it is the third value in the "FLAME" line in item.dat
Third clue: The caret color code for static (yellow) is 9 (http://forum.toribash.com/tori_colors.php)
Fourth clue: The number of legendary clans is 4 (bncy, RAWR, spirit, Torigod)
Fifth clue: The maximum number of objects allowed in a mod (12 divided by the max number of dynamic (movable) objects in a mod (16) -> 128/16 = 8
Hints:
1. Some of the words might have more than one number associated with them, sometimes the less obvious one is the right one.
2. Same things are written differently for a reason.
3. The answer is written in italics.
4. Doing the math might help you find not just the main answer but ensure that other answers are right.
5. The last [ - ].UT action is not related to math.

there was a secret message in the riddle that looks like this:
This was just so that you couldn't see the #lolpranked thing. To solve the riddle you needed to join #lolpranked irc channel using ??Centurion*bloÞdymess* as a password, and the answer was in the topic - What a fine day it was on July 7th 2013.
Hints:
1. These series of letters or whatever is hidden beneath them is/are somewhat important in toribash.
2. I marked the r's with red just for visibility, in reality those appear bold black.
3. ...Unlike most other letters in this thingy thing.
4. There's been a few edits to the whole letter jumbled mess, e.g. number 5 wasn't there when I first posted the riddle. That is for a reason.
Solution
The jumbled letter mess is actually last letters of staff members in this list in order. The highlighted r's then point towards Fear. The "Contact" part indicates that you need to check Fear's Contact Info, in which he has this page as his home page. On that page you can find that some posts were edited, most notably random letters got highlighted. Following these posts you'll find a message saying "answer is", and then in one of many edited posts there's an image that leads to this post if clicked.

There's an ancient artifact in toribash that I'm looking for. The artifact itself is not very useful but it holds a secret within it that I am interested about. Not long ago I found out that the artifact has been stolen by two old fools and a ghost. So the riddle goes like this:
A thread that also happens to be the very oldest fool (who also SUCKS) is made by the second fool. You take what's between those two fools and multiply it by two rings made out of fossilized ancients. And that's how you find the ghost. According to my source the ghost hides the artifact somewhere near him. Find it and tell me where you found it and I'll pay you with a Velvet Force and 3 Shiai Tokens.
Hints:
1. When I said "the very oldest fool" I meant the oldest fool in whole Toribash.
2. When I say that the very oldest fool is also a thread, I don't mean literally, they are more like twins (thread and fool).
