I made something really similar not long ago so when i saw this thread i decided to share it with you :P
Start by pressing shift + space and catch the sword with a grabby hand. I used the whole left arm for the sword so make sure to extend your left elbow. Its also fun to start with lowering your right shoulder.

i made it so your elbow doesn't make the sword bend (you seemed annoyed about that in your other post) , but instead spins the blade so your sharp side can be were you want it...
