Hey guys, after some months off no art, I'm now trying to get back into it. Here's something I've been working on for maybe 2 days now.

Cools, its nice to just draw when you're getting back into art. Looks like that piece needs a couple of shading :^) When I asked Bojan on how he got good, he said that he just mimicked art.

When I draw faces, I only have the eyes and noses in my visual library. I want to have solid drawings/linework before I study values.

as you are drawing vector do a good use of your line width, it adds a huge style to your work.

Play with colors specially for the face, but anyway simple is also good. Maybe add some additional stuffs on the hair would be great, but if you're planning to keep on using that cap, I think the current simple hair is also okay.

I'll set up a shop soon. Gonna make shitloads of heads then sell em'

Yea, I'm still playing around with a different shading style than what I'm used to.

Ears seem a bit big vertical wise.

the ears looks good, if you are going for a common guy, use ears top lined with eyebrows and bottom lined with nose.


the round shapes on hair shading doesnt work so well, you first need to think of the hair as clumps, if you think right it goes from somewhere in the top of the head and reaches its tips, the clumps are from the top to the tip and the shadow of it must coincide.
I think when two clumps meat it creates a shadow and the shadow doesnt go round.

I learned about gradient maps not so long ago...



I'll add colors to the parts and polish it afterwards.
