HTC ONE
So i bought myself a new phone straight off the market, $999 plus insurance.
Android version: 4.1.2
Processor: Quadcore
Internal memory: 32gb
Display: 4.7" 1080p resolution
Camera:
  • Main camera: HTC Ultrapixel
  • Front view camera: 2.1M
Talk time: 17 hours
Standby time: 20 hours

Does anybody know if this is good for it's price?
I'm just curious as to if it's worth the grand.

anyone paying over 200 dollars for a phone plus insurance is an idiot.
what.
Im just so perplexed over the idea of doing such a thing.
I mean
the specs are pretty good.
but I could buy a decent computer with a grand.
Hmm, $900-$1000 is the average rate for the HTC One in my country, which translates roughly to $754-$838 USD. Depending on where you live then, and assuming your dollar is worth more (which it probably is) I think you paid a little too much for it.
It's not worth the $1k.
But if you want to waste your money on an overpriced phone, who am I to tell you you're an idiot?

You have to decide for yourself if it was worth the grand, since that is a rather subjective term.
If you wanna know if you could have gotten it cheaper… probably could have.
They are commonly available for 500 euros around these parts, which is 688 USD.
How are you?
I'm in New Zealand, so the dollar over here genuinely is a lot higher than a lot of countries. It works perfectly fine with me, good in the shed (i farm) and it's extremely reliable. Does what i want it to. Although i think it could have been lowered with the price a bit, my friend got the Sony Xperia Z1 for $999 and says that it's a lot better than the HTC ONE.
I also already have a decent laptop, but i'm rarely at home so the battery on it doesn't last me as long as a phone does. It's also more mobile. I'm not a big fan of computers, but everyone to their own.
