You might want to add these lines to the profile.tbs file that's in the Toribash main directory:

The first four unclutters the graphics engine.
Turning auto update off helps if you have a slow connection, it does this by not downloading every freaking 1MB texture that every freaking toribasher you encounter.
I leave fixedframerate on because I like a constant ghost, but off speeds things up a bit. And halving the normal framerate to 30 makes your graphics a bit more responsive.
But if you were to use any of these, which you can also do by just typing "/opt [SETTING] [VALUE]" in the chat, let it be turning the anti-aliasing off. Seriously, having unjagged lines just is not worth how much it slows the game down (on my very potato like computer at least).
