Just got myself the Apple earphones with remote and mic, and I have to admit that I love the remote…
anyone around who's heard of Muse Audio? i'm thinking about buying their headphone called "The Discjockey", fairly cheap price and it seems like a trustworthy company. just need someone who might be able to vouch for them. ;o

What? No. Not even close.
Fuck off
Alright, I need some advice on what I should buy restricted by the following.
- Genre: Dubstep, Hip-Hop/Rap, Post Hardcore, Deathcore. (So an all around headphone would be nice)
- Type: Over the head, I hate canal phones
- Price range: $200~$300
- Location: Allen, Texas
- Input: iPod/Computer
- Using For: Games/Music
- Other: Sound is more important then comfort but It wouldn't hurt to have some comforting headphones.
Noice cancellation would also be nice but it isn't crucial.
If you could get a pair of some nice looking headphones that would be awesome.
Thanks, in advance.

Take a look at Sennheiser's HD 595 if you plan to listen to music on quiet ambients such as your home. (Since they're open design headphones). If you find it expensive, then the HD555 will most likely suffice. They're pretty good all around. Plus they have a nice bass for hip hop and those aggressive genres (and still have enough clarity for "crystal clear" music genres)
They excel for movies and gaming too.

Depends if you are looking for a bassy pair of headphones or not.

Closed and Balanced
DT250 (try and get the 80 ohm version for amp reasons. Isolates a lot. Indestructible)
Closed and Bassy
DT770 pro (try get the 80 ohm version for amp reasons. Isolates a LOT. Indestructible)
Denon D2000 (these don't isolate much at all!)
Ultrasone DJ1 (stylish)

Open and not bassy:
Grado SR225 (lots of people like grado, I do NOT. Don't go the SR325).
Beyerdynamic DT440 (not too comfy, but pretty good for the price. The balance is good though I reckon)
Audiotechnica AD700 or AD900 (not very bassy at all)
Open and Bassy:
DT990 pro (essentially a closed version of the DT770. Maybe a bit more bassy).

Note: indestructible refers to the headphones, not the cable

I've tried to stick away from "audiophile" sounding headphones, because eventually (particularly at this price point, I guess) you can start to notice flaws in recordings for some genres (like the ones you mentioned..)

What soundcard do you have, btw?
m0o, i'm looking for a headphone with epic bass but with a cheap price.

Price range : $10-75$
Genre : Metal, Heavy Metal, Rock, and sometimes Acoustic.
What you will be connecting it to : PC, iPod.
What you will use it for : Music, games.
Important factors : Not too much clamp, not too big, and make it hair-friendly.
