Just read through the whole thread and this caught my eye. Firstly there are many different types of communism, Marxist Communism is just one of them. Also Marx believed that certain governments are necessary depending on the times and that governments are bound to change with the ages. Marx is most definitely not pro-democracy, he just acknowledges that it was necessary for the industrial boom but has run it's course. Marx also believes that the next age of government is communism, and honestly Marxist communism is great in theory but it's very unlikely to work in reality due to corruption.
Again America is not a Democracy. A democracy has no bounds while a republic is founded on some inalienable rights, which is the constitution. Honestly democracy isn't doing so well but compared to other forms of government right now I still believe it's the lesser evil. You can always say that communism is the most egalitarian form of government and you'd be 100% correct but in practicality its unattainable.
I'm curious to know what you believe is the best form of government. Not trying to attack you but democracy could be failing but it's been working and it's scalability isn't too bad. Most other forms of governments have terrible histories and major flaws.
