As we move towards improved network play, we find that the accounts with the following characters " ~!./\\*&|+'/:;<>" (there's a space in this list) will have issues.

Thus, new users will not be able to create usernames with these characters, and are primarily restricted to a-z, A-Z, 0-9.

Existing users with the above characters in their username will have their usernames migrated shortly, and we will notify you via email of your new username. (There's about 80 of you)

Your new username will most likely be your old username without the restricted characters.

So does this affect the ingame stuff or just the forums?

Hi RbLck, eventually it will affect ingame in a positive way.
[CLAN] tags will be given its own field.
Ingame Nick will eventually shown as : [CLAN] + User name
The user only needs to use the same forum id to login. The clan info will be retrieved automatically.

We will also be able to uniquely identify ingame users with Forum users.
This will give us better management of game items & textures.
