I got bored during SAT's and drew the Mona Lisa on the desk

Self-explanatory

Drew an Acropolis instead of paying attention math

I've been dabbling in perspective lately

My first mural (11 feet by 10 feet [it's Fort Lauderdale {this picture was before i fixed the water line and rounded off the sun}])

A little project with my girlfriend

One of my many portraits (I can't find the reference)

Not bad!
The portraits aren't that special but if you drew the Mona Lisa from the top of your head then I'll tip my hat to you.

The Sandbears is a special kind of awesome, too!

used a picture for a quick sketch (about 5 minutes i'd say) and then put my phone away since it was during the SATs and my school takes it too seriously thus avoiding the harsh punishment i would have been inflicted

I'll start with this one since you did a pretty darn good job on the eyes.
Especially the iris and pupil are quite captivating in this piece. I love the fact that you added the reflection of the eyelashes on the iris.
The nose and the mouth could use some work but I know how hard those are so I wont give you crap about it. The way I trained myself is to draw a "wireframe" like you would see in 3d programs. That gave me a pretty good idea on what to shade and what not. Other than that the good-old rule of practice makes perfect, of course ;]

I'd cut out the right eye (her left) and save it, you did a very good job on it!

i'm well aware that i'm 15 with the sense of humor of a 10 year old
you're confusing me by just recommenting the picture with no words

Yeah sorry, I accidentally clicked post instead of preview ;]
It's edited now, haha.

you're the man
do you by any chance have any pictures (your drawings or just others) of a wireframed nose
that seems like a mighty fine idea

I don't have examples of my own on my Macbook, unfortunately.
But I can tell you how I draw it.

It involves touching your own face and looking in the mirror.
Just.. Build it up.

I usually start with the eyes and then the eyebrows, going to the piece between the eyebrows, going down and building it up like that.

That said, I'm still not very good at super realistic noses or mouths.
It's just one of the hardest parts of the human anatomy because if you make a mistake it will look weird real fast.

But yeah, having a model or looking at pictures and yourself and kind of figuring out the relation between the different pieces on your face will really help you out a lot.
And of course, there are a lot of books to help you too. Studying anatomy will take long but once you understand everything that's beneath the skin, drawing it will become way easier.
