I hosted a weekly drawing competition back in the days, 11 weeks in a row. They got really popular. 5-9 pages of replies for each one.

I think theme based drawing competitions are pretty great, everyone can be involved, everyone can be creative and its fun for everyone doesn't matter if you are good at drawing or suck at drawing.
The important part is to get everyone really excited and make people feel included.
At the moment the art community is falling.
we can get 3 or four entries max in weekly events.
I always preffer a monthly event to get more people,
more entries, more time.
Originally this was just to discuss the previous years head texture event and continuing that.
But on the other hand, that would be pretty cool to start up some art events again. how were you generating prize money tho? 30k per week would run me out pretty fast :O if somehow we could tap into the random prizes for GMs use for ingame tourneys however...
