webm bb code forum support
I think it would be a nice addition if there was webm support on the forums,
the reason I believe it would be a great addition is it can up to 16 times smaller then gif causing them to load much faster and they already support the major browser types, the html5 video element is a nice way at looking at replays as seen here:
http://a.pomf.se/husuiq.webm
you would also be surprised the length you can get on one of these will out the size being much over 3mb in this example.
http://a.pomf.se/kfyojj.webm
at 720p 60 seconds and only 3.43mb yet plays automatically in your browser then trying to load the entire thing at once like a gif does.
it also very easy to convert to webm or record directly and save webm. and with
http://www.gfycat.com/ you can upload your gifs to convert to webm or just upload or to
www.pomf.se watch supports up to 50mb uploads (and webm longer then 15 seconds)".
I been making gifs for the past few months but the file sizes can range from 10mb or 15mb when recording at 60 frames per second for smooth motion replays yet can be a fraction of that in the webm format.
it also can be very simple to install on vbulletin using the bb code manager. and there already are plugins on vbulletin.org
