no, it's not LOTR based.

Also more info if this helps. There is an area near the beginning called the swamp, there is a weapon called whip, and the time-travel thing is divided into multiple "ages." The dudes that made this game also made a couple similar ones.

Nah that isn't it. Man this is driving me crazy I really wanna play this game again. I've been googling shit for 45 minutes.

EDIT: OMG holy crap i got it! It just randomly came to me. Time hunter! I guess that means the comp isnt rlly in place anymore lol.
