It's like a prequel of chaos:child, you can try it if you're really interested in "understanding" a little bit of what happens in chaos.

Dunno. I haven't watched a whole bunch of the newer anime. I like binge watching, so I usually watch anime that have been out for awhile.

I heard the Rokudenashi was good, and I'm guessing the Academia one is referring to season 2 of My Hero Academia (There's an anime by the same creators called Little Witch Academia or something). I really liked season 1.

Yes, Child is a sequel, and by skipping Head you missed out on a lot information that happened during certain events, the way they happened as well as the thoughts behind them, Head will definitely make Child easier to understand.
And yes it is pretty boring at the beginning tbh.
