I have to say that they do have a unique sound but their songs are just really repeatative. I bought X&Y when it was released and liked the whole album but now in my ears it's just medicore, other than Till Kingdom Come and Fix You which I think are brilliant songs.

Maybe I should buy their new album and see if they have added some variety to their music.

EDIT: I actually like Coldplay's vocal work better than Bono's.
Bono probably is the "better" singer but I like Colplay's singers voice even thou it's kinda limited.

EDIT2: And I also find U2 one of the most irritating bands on earth along with RHCP and In Flames.
