My comp is pretty much old, dont flame or troll just ty to comment or say something.

Dxdiag specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.6GHz
Memory: 3070MB RAM

Just found out that a dual core with "intel pentium" behind it runs worse than just dual core.

So which to buy?
Quad core~2.66GHz
or
Nvidia 250gts

Or waste em all on games that i cant run that good.

They are close to the same price range so any suggestions to which i should buy?

Adding more:
Only problem is if i buy gts-250 what would i do with my old card and would my system bottle neck the card?

The video card is better because your dual core will last 2 years more, I suggest a HD4830 rather than 250GTS its 2% better.

I think your gpu is better than the processor right now. But to upgrade to a quad core, you might need a new mobo for the right socket. Lol my pc has exactly what you want btw. A quad core at 2.5 ghz, and a gts 250. No chance you'd wanna buy from some random dude on a forum so that he could upgrade, eh? ;)

Your HD is gonna be a pain if you go for digital games. You can get 500 gigs for around 80 bucks now so I'd go there first. Then processor/mobo, and finally gpu.

don't buy medion. They suck, really, at the time i bought my 1gb ram for about 800 euros, now i see 4gb ram laptops for 400 euros -_-

I would say get the quadcore because I have the Nvidia 9500 and it's a pretty decent card but after you get the quad core try to save up money for a ATi 4850 it's better then the 9800 but at the same price range.

Mines already the right mobo.. just somewhat a cheap mobo that can handle a quad core.
