My microphone isnt working, its plugged in and the computer detects it as a rear mic, but it doesnt record or anything at all. It didnt come with a CD so i have no idea what to do...

If the computer detects it, it's probably working. Open up your system's volume control panel, go to options, click every checkbox under "show the following" and make sure any input jacks (called AUX In or Microphone) are not muted and are set to maximum volume. If you're using a program with your mic, go to its options menu and make sure "microphones" or "recording devices" aren't muted and are at maximum volume. It would also be helpful to post some other info (like does your mic work on someone else's computer, your operating system, etc.)

Ok right click the little sound thingy in the bottom right of your comp

Click on recording devices

Ok you should see a new window, make sure the one you have is set to default

Oh and you can click on the configure button and it configures it.

If none of the above work. Get the package where the mic came from, and call suppot number. Assk for CD and some help
