Creating one's own server
Really sorry but I accidentally closed the original thread and not knowing way out of it, I created another one. I know I shouldn't have done this but again, sorry .
Hey, I'd like to get some information about creating a game server. I know how to do it but what I DON'T KNOW is how to change that server's settings. The most important for me are:
- changing framerate (I mean, how much time passes during one move, eg. 10, 30, 50 etc.),
- making my server a bet server (so people can make bets, give decap prize and make profit),
- changing the mod of the game on the server.
I think that those are the things that I need to know most - especially, how to create a bet server because most often there is only one such server online and sometimes I don't like the rules that are there so I'd rather make my own server for people to play.
Thanks!
You can probably reopen your thread using thread tools (use ctrl+f to find it).

Here is an extensive list of commands: http://forum.toribash.com/showthread.php?t=317900

You can change settings easily using ctrl+g and ctrl+m shortcuts, you can alternatively use commands such as /set tf 0.

You can set bet settings using the commands from guide I posted, the most interesting setting being /betframes <x> which decides how long you can bet and /house <yournick> which sets you as the house.

Mod is changed either via ctrl+m or /set mod <exact mod name>. Note that some mods don't work.

To make a bet server just name it appropriately, use /desc <description> and /motd <message of the day commands>, set bet settings to something suitable, and preferably global it (costs 10k) here http://forum.toribash.com/tori_broadcast.php

This sort of suits beginner sanctuary or rapid threads better
