If I had to pick a general comment to make about most if not all the designs, while I do like what I'm seeing, 'less is more' when it comes to what we're looking for, keep it simple and clean. It's going to be used as a website banner (Probably would have been smart for me to mention that in the OP but oh well) so sleekness is very important.

Taking a look at the banners that exist on the top of the forums (For convenience) might be a good place to draw inspiration from, simple, clean and sleek designs across the board, while still able to stand out.
