The same CPU with 1 core to 6 cores enabled, is optimal at 2 and 4, and is only 1 to 2 fps faster on 4 than 2 in 9/10 games, so an i7 is unnecessary.

" At the moment, three cores appears to be what games are happiest using" being my point from that review

just saying i agree with you
You don't say?
Fair enough, also the 460 was recently launched, reviews look good, for the first time a 400 series card looks like a good choice, and the thermals are top notch!
Yeah it sure is great. The 1gb is usually 80% of the gtx 470 for just 60% of the price. I wonder how the sli would be vs a gtx 480. I'm just sad that they don't offer a model with more ram.

It's consistently better than the HD 5830 and overclocks really well. Runs cool. This may be THE card that saves nvidia from total shame ;P

price is 200 for the 768 mb version (lower clocks I think too) and 220 for the 1gb.

(The price was announced at 229.99, so 230 btw :P)

Yea, they seem worth while, and the SLI results give about 190% boost in most games to the FPS, dirt 2 was the worst for SLI and only got 156%, possibly a driver issue. This 190% boost is awesome, most SLI results in less as far as I can remember, and makes this a better purchase than the 480 I believe.
