and it seemed odd to me that Toribash is there for download as SHAREWARE,

The page even claims that one can host his own LAN server.

WTF? Is this something that Hampa should know, or is this known already?

This "offer" seemed quite up to date, as the version of Toribash is 3.24

I just thought that highly suspicious, so... I wonder.

We had a discussion about this earlier. They aren't up to date.

And besides, when you click Buy, it redirects to Toribash.com/store, and it says there that the game is now free.

before 3.0 toribash was 20$ for a registration key which allowed you to play on more servers save replays head texture etc the article is not up too date with the current standards
